SD OOAK Studio and Course Outfits
NB:
SD OOAK outfits are made to fit the bigger, 20" Studio Dolls and also
Course Dolls. They will NOT fit the smaller 16" production dolls.
NB:
The skirt sections of all of Ruth's smock style dresses are made in the
traditional way of the original Studio Doll outfits, from one piece of
fabric and a box pleat under each arm (please see photo, below) providing
extra fullness to the skirt and a neater finish, without side seams. This
doesn't apply to outfits with waist ties as these must have a side seam,
but dresses in this style are generous in width also. Long sleeves are
always finished off with cuffs that fasten with snaps for a close fit,
or occasionally with smocking.

wool Pinafore in a woven check, charcoal, beige, cream. Style: Knife pleated
Skirt, with bib front and straps that cross over at the back.
Blouse: White soft cotton Blouse,
with a tiny herringbone weave. Style: Long sleeved with hand smocking
at the wrists and Peter Pan collar with dainty white hand embroidered
scallops. Fastens down the front with snaps. Mother of pearls buttons
